Environmental Awareness
It's in our nature...
EBL utilizes practices and installation techniques that are environmental friendly. We implement arborist-approved installation practices when natural trees are used, which leave trees in better condition than before tour installation. Dead limb trimming, canopy lighting, ground compaction control, insect control, and other "green" practices, allow for continued tree health and proper function of tour engineered safety systems. EBL also employs on-going "green" practices to maintain tree health and viability. The long term health of the ecology is a primary design consideration and all efforts are made to minimize the foot print of the construction and operation of tours.
Ongoing maintenance to ensure continued tree health is a part of our practices. Adjustments and other measure ensure proper tree health. When natural trees are not available or selected as too valuable to install a tour in, other methods for connections are available; wood utility poles, steel columns, H-beams, bed rock pin and anchoring, and free standing support towers are also used in our designs.
In addition, we also:
- Manage environmental pollution through in the field using best practices for gasoline and ATV usage.
- Utilize hybrid vehicles for jobsite and corporate travel, where possible.
- Minimize impact during construction projects by controlling trail erosion and ground compaction in sensitive areas.
- Continue our commitment to preserve the nature and beauty that our tours are designed to showcase.
- Instill employee environmental awareness into our tours as the public desires.
- Adhere to the recycling of commercial power tools and used batteries.
- Minimize printing by using electronic business practices, where possible.
- Use water pollution practices to avoid silting of waterways in habitat-sensitive areas.
- Use of products that contain post-consumer recycled products, where possible.
